1. Information we process
We process only the information needed to provide and improve the app:
- Account identifier: the app signs you in anonymously through Firebase Authentication and assigns a unique Firebase user ID. You can view and copy this ID in Settings.
- Photos and generated images: photos you choose are uploaded temporarily to our servers so our hosted AI model can remove or replace the background. The processed result is returned to your device. We do not sell these images or use them to train public models.
- Generation records: we may store limited metadata such as the user ID, generation status, selected tool, timestamps, and app version in Google Cloud Firestore. This metadata does not include lasting copies of your photos after automatic deletion.
- App and device information: app version, operating system, and technical diagnostics may be processed when necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Support communications: if you contact us, we receive the email address, message, app version, rating, and user ID included in your email.
The app does not access your entire photo library. It receives only the photos you select through the system photo picker or otherwise choose to process.
2. Face data
Photos you select may include images of people and faces. We do not collect biometric face data, Face ID data, face templates, face meshes, or facial recognition identifiers. We do not run on-device face analysis APIs for identity or authentication.
If a photo contains a face, that image is handled only as part of the full photo you chose to process for background removal or replacement. Face-containing images are:
- processed exclusively on our own servers using our hosted machine learning model;
- not shared with any third-party AI tool, analytics vendor, advertising network, or other external image-processing service;
- automatically deleted from our servers after 15 minutes; and
- saved permanently only if you tap Save (or an equivalent action), in which case the image is downloaded and stored on your device — not retained on our servers as a lasting copy.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate requests and associate generations with your user ID;
- temporarily upload, process on our hosted model, and return edited images to your device;
- show on-device generation history and maintain service reliability;
- prevent abuse, investigate errors, and secure the service;
- respond to feedback and support requests; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Service providers
AI image processing runs on our own servers with our hosted model. Your photos and any face-containing images are not sent to third-party AI image processors.
We use limited third-party infrastructure for non-image app operations:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud for anonymous authentication, limited generation metadata, server functions, and related app infrastructure.
These providers process data according to their own privacy terms and our configuration. They are not used to perform third-party AI background removal on your photos.
5. Data retention, deletion, and security
Uploaded and processed images (including photos that may contain faces) are stored on our servers only temporarily and are automatically deleted after 15 minutes.
Saving: when you save a result, the image is downloaded and stored on your own device (for example, your photo library). We do not keep a permanent copy of that saved image on our servers.
On-device history: if the app keeps a local history, those files remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Limited generation metadata may be retained as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, or to meet legal obligations.
We use authentication tokens, access controls, and short-lived processing storage to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and requests
You choose which photos to process. You can remove locally saved results from your device using device controls. To request access, correction, or deletion of remaining server-side metadata, contact us and include the user ID shown in the app’s Settings screen.
Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored app data. Temporary server images are already deleted automatically after 15 minutes.
7. Children’s privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information through the app.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or applicable law changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when a revised policy is published.
